Friend's
Sites...
- Robey
Pointer: Cool friend from the San Francisco Bay Area.
He finally updated his site too, yay for Robey!
- Arlo
Rose: I've only met him a couple times when in San Francisco
visiting Robey, but he's a good guy so he gets a link (that
and I really like the way his site is designed).
- Ryan
Butler: He is one of my former roommates and a talented
film maker.
- Alan Schaberl: Great Site, Great Graphics Designer!
Generally
Cool Links...
- Friendster:
Very cool site where you get to see how you are linked
to each of your current friends; also a great way to meet
new friends as well.
- Wayback
Machine: The Wayback Machine makes it possible to surf
pages stored in the Internet Archive's web archive. This
way you can see what many web pages looked like way back
in 1996 when the Internet was just born, pretty neat!
- Consumer
Reports: One of the best consumer information sites
out there. Provides reviews on everything from cars to home
appliances all paid for with subscriber revenue rather
than advertising dollars which assures objectivity.
- Salon.com:
Great news site, interesting perspectives, even more interesting
topics. Salon's daily content covers everything from parenting
to politics, celebrities to Silicon Valley, vagabonding
to venture capitalism.
- PayPal:
Very cool site that allows you to electronically send or
receive money to anyone with a e-mail address.
- DPreview:
Digital Photography Reviews on all sorts of digital cameras,
as well as tips for novice and professional users alike.
Cool
Mac Links...
- Safari:
The BEST browser available on ANY platform; built from
the
ground up for Macintosh OS X.
- Xsanity:
Sanity for Apple's Xsan.
- StepWise:
Great site covering topics from Macintosh OS X, to Darwin,
to WebObjects, to NeXT.
- MacWorld:
Good site for daily Mac news updates.
- Version
Tracker: Trying to keep all that software up to date?
Wanting to find new Macintosh OS X software? Look no further
than this link.
- Konfabulator:
A cool guy I know wrote this program, is
a JavaScript runtime engine for Mac OS X that lets you
run little files called Widgets that can do pretty much
whatever you want them to. Widgets can be alarm clocks,
calculators, can tell you your AirPort signal strength,
will fetch the latest stock quotes for your preferred
symbols, and even give your current local weather (Now
known as Yahoo! Widgets, yay for Arlo!).
- MacOSZone:
Great place to find cool fonts, icons, and shareware applications.
They review them weekly and present it in a nice newsletter
type format.
- Darwin
Ports:
Software ports, help, and docs for Darwin.
- Apple
History: This site has EVERY Mac model ever made listed
online: when it was introduced, when it was discontinued,
all of the specs, the code name it had when it was under
development, etc. This guy apparently had LOTS of time on
his hands.
